"This is such a good lesson. Angela covered several areas of interest to me. Particularly the Hero's Journey. The visuals of how to achieve each phase were great and helpful, plus the Hero's Call lesson is packed full of advice and instruction with examples, which I appreciate. I really like the section on how to show not tell. This is an area I sometimes struggle with, but now I look forward to taking advantage of those opportunities to "show" my reading. Also the importance of cutting out verbs and adverbs when in the editing stage is very informative. The "mood board" is such a fun idea! I'll definitely do this. I also learned in this lesson that I made a mistake in starting my current WIP with a cliche. I promptly fixed it. Dialog over exposition is so important and another area I struggle with. This lesson was very helpful in that area as well. So much information is packed into this video, but the pace and explanations are perfect. I didn't feel overwhelmed or as if I listened to an info dump. Which is another important lesson here. I'm guilty of info dumping, but will work hard on changing that. Great lesson! I'll be watching it again."
